WORSHIPFUL MASTERS MAY 2013 MESSAGE

Worshipful Master 2012-2013

Brethren,

Well, the year is almost over and in May we will be installing Worshipful Master elect Corey Snow into the Chair of King Solomon. It is a wonderful and moving ceremony. Brother Snow will certainly run the gamut of emotions, and all those who are Past Masters will know how he feels. Some will envy his position, some may not, but I’m quite sure all those who have been in the chair feel exactly the same, “Wow, what an experience”.

The Brethren of St. John’s Lodge have made this a memorable experience for me. I urge all who have not yet decided to embark on the journey to Worshipful Master to consider it. It is very enriching, and you will grow, dramatically. If you are on the journey already, don’t waiver. You can do it. The Lodge will rally around you, and that is one of the key takeaways.

There is much more to be done in the Lodge for me, of course, supporting the WM and my Brethren. The Lodge should always come first and never be forgotten for a Mason, but there are other experiences in the masonic journey too, in our appendant body the Royal Arch and concordant bodies like OES, Scottish Rite and Shrine. Never stop progressing.

Sincerely and Fraternally
W.Bro. Gord Echlin
Worshipful Master
